Background History
Map of Nepal
In the tourism business we have got to know several friends from different countries who did treks with us. We proposed to them to help with the education of Nepalese Porter's children.

We started to collect small amounts of money from those friends who were really interested to help such Children. By the beginning year of the year, we had collected about U$400 which was enough for two children's education for a year. Gradually we continued this progress until we now have 30 kids, who are being sponsored. All of them are getting an education in one of Nepal 's private schools.

Aim & Objectives
Map of Nepal
In the last few years, due to the political conflict, the economic condition of rural Nepalese children is extremely pitiable. The government has pledged to make education free for all, but even then many families living hand to mouth, take their children with them to work as laborers to help meet their daily needs rather than send their children to school.

Introduction
The birthplace of Buddha , Nepal is well-known as the Himalayan Kingdom . However this land of cultural diversity and rich tradition is one of the poorest and least developed countries in the world with over half of its population living below the poverty line. Over 80% of the population relies on agriculture for their livelihood. The majority of the population lives in rural areas that are often very difficult to reach, resulting in a lack of basic infrastructure such as clean water, communication, health services and schools. The political instability continues to challenge Nepal 's ability to improve its infrastructure. The population of Nepal is estimated to be about 22 million, and the literacy rate is 31% of the adult population.
